SPEAKER_00This is a short gratitude practice. Begin by taking a deep breath in and releasing any stress or tension on the outbreath. Connect to your breath now in a very simple way, knowing you're breathing in and knowing you're breathing out. Now think of someone or something in your life that you are grateful for today. This can be something small or simple, such as the cup of hot cocoa and marshmallows you had for breakfast, or the bright warm sun and big blue sky that you see when you look out your window today. It could be something bigger, such as your health, or the good health of someone you love, or the fact that you got your grade up in a challenging class, or it could be gratitude for a good friend you have. Just think of one thing that you're grateful for today. And notice how it feels to cultivate gratitude. What does your body and mind feel like? Now think of other things you're grateful for in your life. Simply calling these things and experiences or people to mind, holding them with gratitude, and noticing how good it feels to do this. You can nurture gratitude any time you notice something positive in your life, and this good feeling will grow. You can also make gratitude a daily practice, calling to mind what you're grateful for every day. This helps you grow awareness of the positive parts of your life.
